Evening stroll

The wind was blowing
My comfort growing
Snuggled down, compressed
In the warm hug of the blanket
Getting some rest

Yet restless became my feet
Should be strolling the street
Hesitation battling determination
Oh, tonight won’t be boring!
Breathing, moving, exploring

The evening air giving me a chill
So the dark figures standing still
I reached the river
Black water, shimmering lights
Sleepy city and beautiful sights

My cheeks were burning
My heart hammering
Bless you, feet,
For taking me away
The dullness shatters
That’s what matters

City lights of Bratislava
